For those of you who wonder, NS and CSX split up Conrail in 1999, and that is why you see a lot of Conrail engines on both railroads. NS also runs a lot of trains to the UP at E. St. Louis, and a lot of times, the locomotives stay on the train while on the UP, then return on a northbound train going to the NS.
