Here is UP train MLIAS 20 with a lone NS unit still in Conrail paint. For those of you who wonder, NS and CSX split up Conrail in 1999, and that is why you see a lot of Conrail engines on both railroads. NS also runs a lot of trains to the UP at E. St. Louis, and a lot of times, the locomotives stay on the train while on the UP, then return on a northbound train going to the NS. MLIAS means "M" for general merchandise, "LI" for its origin, Livonia, LA, and "AS" is for its destination, Alton & Southern Ry. Yard, East St. Louis, IL. The 20 is the date it originated in Livonia, in this case, 8-20-04.
