A Marietta, Columbus & Northern Railway train crosses the Dunbar trestle circa 1886, near Marietta, OH. The trestle timbers were enclosed to prevent fire due to hot embers from the train and an attendant crossed the tracks after each train crossings to check for possible fire. The piers are in excellent condition and are still standing (See following pics)
