This is another patent featuring a similar application. Don't know if this applies to the new piece I found but is similar. This is patent US 2,688,654 on Oct. 10th, 1949 by A.B. Bussmann Jr. who was associated with Wisconsin Porcelain Co. and had designed several insulator styles attributed to them. This is two years later than the G. Hord patent. I'm assuming that Wisconsin Porcelain Co. made the insulators for Parmack since they contracted to other buissnesses like Sears, Wards and others. It is possible this is an improved design but looks the same to me. Who knows but it's a great piece of farm fencing history.
