Several years ago I came across a special patent fence insulator that used a square bolt fitted into the dome of a electric fence insulator with a screweye to attatch it to a rod post. I had attributed it to Parmack ( Parker McCrory Mfg. Co.) through G. Hord who was associated with them. This new style unfortunatly does not have the patent number visable on the holding pad but shares the same chracteristics. I have found two patents that cover this type of application. The one is verified with the patent number on the metal holding pad. This new one is not but the shape and design is similar. This picture shows the two different designs and there hardware. I had to replace the screweye in order to save the other pieces and show the attchments. I painted the plates because they were rusted pretty bad showing that they were actualy in use. The piece on the left is the new style and on the right is the G. Hord piece I shown before.
