Although reference books through the years state that Owens-Illinois (Hemingray) ceased glass insulator production in 1967, some collectors believe that the company actually stopped making them in 1966 and during the following year, they were offering what was left of 1966 production. The Hemingray-17 in this photo was made in 1966 (note the 62 followed by four dots). I have never heard of a Hemingray made in 1967, have you?
