These lines were deadended in each direction in the background and circuit continuity was achieved by converting them to paired cable for the section that ran beneath the bridge. This practice was common and took place where there was not enough clearance for all of the individual wires to pass beneath overhead roads, tracks, etc. Usually, a double set of crossarms with pintype insulators served for deadending the wires. In other instances, spool insulators were employed.
