For these next few sale listings of 2025, I'm going to donate 100% of the profits to Bill and Jill Meier for use towards ICON. To be clear, these donations will be in addition to the amount I usually give. Like so many others, I have ICON to thank for my introduction to the hobby. For all they do, Bill & Jill shouldn't have to bear the cost of hosting the web site as well as the time required to keep it running. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Up for grabs is a pair of great-looking British pieces with all of their original soot still remaining. At a glance they appear completely black in colour, when a white glazed insulator is hiding beneath that thick layer of surface soot. At left is an LNER incused Taylor & Tunnicliffe "Cordeaux" pattern. The oval shaped manufacturers mark is visible on the crown, while the LNER mark is on the skirt. It appears to be in excellent condition with just some wire scuffs. At right is a "pothead" dry spot style with a black composite cap and a porcelain body. No manufacturer marking is visible on this example, but it is incused LNER on the skirt. This one also has only some minor wire groove scuffs that affect only the heavy layer of soot. I'm asking $50 USD, INCLUDING SHIPPING within Canada or the lower 48 US states for this one. 100% of this amount will go to Bill Meier and the ICON website to support its software updates, and you will be paying Bill directly to avoid unnecessary fees. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
