Here are four vvnm insulators of various CD's that would make a good starter set for a new collector (or fill in some holes in an existing collection). On the left is a CD 100 EIN [020] (F-Skirt) SURGE/T.M. REQ. PAT. PEND {Note 'REQ'} (R-Skirt) BABSON BROS.CO./CHCIAGO U.S.A. {Note spelling} RDP in Clear. It has a surface scuff on the rear skirt and a wire rub in the groove. Next in a CD 102 EIN [005] (Dome) [Dot] (F-Skirt) ★ (R-Skirt) ★ SB in Blue. There are three tiny base flakes and a base edge sliver below the Star in front. On the plus side, the dome is solid glass, and there's a neat little bubble in front skirt. Second from the right is a CD 107 EIN [010] (F-Skirt) (Arc)WHITALL TATUM/No 9 (R-Skirt) (Arc)MADE IN U.S.A./7-47/A [in a circle]/43 SB in Light Olive Green. There is a tiny flake off the upper wire ridge at the right mold line and a few scattered pinpoint pecks. On the far right is a CD 108 EIN [090] (F-Skirt) DOMINION-9 (R-Skirt) ♢ RDP in Straw. I find no damage to report. Asking $40 for all shipped via Priority Mail in the US. CK/MO. |
