Happy new year to all! With the start of this year I'm trying to undertake some culling in my basement, so I'll be posting a few pieces for sale in the coming day or two. Up for grabs is an unusual piece indeed - a Dominion 42 CD 154 in a bright green aqua shade with a large clump of white firebrick embedded in the glass below the front right lower wire ridge. From some angles it resembles an elephant in mid stride. This is the [010] EIN with no mold numbers, and this example is the higher embossing variant, with Dominion 42 situated higher on the skirt than many examples. It's difficult to photograph, but it is visible in these photos with a highlighting red arrow. The clump measures approximately 1 cm wide and about the same tall, and appears to be quite thin. Additionally, this piece is absolutely full of fizzy bubbles. This piece is in great condition with just a 7 mm shallow surface bruise on the right side of the inner skirt, and a few tiny nibbles on the rear upper wire ridge. It displays perfectly from the front. Let's try $70 USD plus actual shipping cost for this one. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
