Andrew Mika and I hiked a transmission line that used some strange hardware in August 2024. The crossarm pins, ridge pin, and crossarm mount are all made by a single American company of galvanized steel. The crossarm pins have a shank the diameter of a wood pin, about 1-5/8". I have only seen this style of hardware on this one line in the mountains of Colorado. I cannot even tell what era the hardware is from as it has excellent galvanizing on the parts resisting wear.
