It's been almost 2 months since Hurricane Helene ravaged western North Carolina. Large parts of the Norfolk Southern between Black Mountain and Tennessee got washed away. Here is a 'no trespassing' sign at the Asheville, NC, yard next door to my art gallery, aptly named 'Trackside Studios.' The gallery is set to reopen in December. The Norfolk Southern and the Blue Ridge Southern (WAMX) still has extensive rehabilitation work before freight traffic can resume.
