I placed the owl box 2 months ago on the property. It has just recently moved in. They are secretive and hunt mostly in the dark. I have never seen the 18" owl outside of the box. I have heard his soft call after dark. It is a repetitive spooky sing song "who cooks for you ?" He repeats it 7-8 times in a row.
