I am wanting to make contact with a collector who privately contacted me several years ago about a strange looking bracket/ hanger he found. The bracket consisted of two vertical (brass?) rods with some sort of a horizontal hanger flange at the top and a flat bracket with possibly some porcelain hardware and insulators attached at the bottom (and on a wood arm? ) . I have lost both photos of the bracket and the man's name. At the time I was in contact with him, I was unable to determine what it was that he had found. I finally figuerd out what it was recently! What he found was the internal frame for an open arc lamp rain hood as in this catalog cut. The man was I believe possibly from Pennsylvania. If this looks familiar please contact me and/ or bring the bracket to Springfield. I I want to get a close look at it. The entire sheet metal hood had completely rusted away from the bracket he found and all that was left of the unit was the hanger frame itself. There is a museum interested in completely reproducing one of these hood assemblies for display.
