A wonderful example of the old No-tie type manufactured by the Danish Bing & Grøndahl (later Royal Copenhagen), this type of logo with only the letters B & G was used on products until 1898, later the image of the "three towers" was added. So quite an old insulator as can be seen in the photos, additionally it is mounted on a heavy cast iron base which allowed it to be placed on the top of a pole. As can be seen in the photos the insulator has some porcelain loss on its top part and is in the condition as found. The height of the insulator itself is the same as the Norwegian U-2028 but it is a bit narrower at the bottom, 96mm. and its weight is 2.3kg.
