Here's one that doesn't come along every day: This [160] Diamond CD 102 has large, bold diamonds on both sides and is a killer royal purple colour. The best part of this one is the presence of a very high density of milk swirling throughout the glass. Check your royal purple Canadian insulators because on rare occasion they do turn up with this sort of milk throughout! This example is pretty exceptional, for colour and character. Note that I struggled to capture clear photos of the intensity of the milk in this one - it is something special. This one is in fair condition, but does have a 5 mm flake on the upper wire ridge where one of the side mold lines meets it. Otherwise it has a few scattered tiny fleabites on the upper wire ridge, and one each on the crown and skirt. Most of this is on one side, so it does display well from one face. I'll knock the price down a little bit on this one, to $350 USD plus shipping. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
