It's no secret that I like these U-1131 Canadian railway-marked telegraph 'hives, but some that come along are just a little bit more special than others. Here's a good example. These dry process CPR marked examples are usually pretty devoid of any real character. This example has a lot going on in the crown area, with a very thin glaze that reveals a lot of crazing in between large, pooled, blobs of white glaze. I've tried my best to capture them in the photos, but honestly this one looks more impressive in person.

This piece has a 2.5 cm base bruise that resembles a black line on the rear, right side of the base. Only about 1 cm of it is visible from the outside of the piece - the rest can only be seen when picking the piece up and looking from the base up.

I'm asking $35 USD plus shipping for this one. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
