After viewing some backyard pole displays of other collectors, it was time I would share mine. I built my backyard powerline over a year ago for my solar panel system. (Solar is so much fun!!) I have so much hardware that I thought why not put some of it back into service. So, I bought some aircraft cable and 8 foot cedar poles, and played lineman. I ran four wires on the poles to mimic a three phase system, however it is all DC. The middle phase supports a 48V system, the phase closest to the solar panels supports a 24V system, the phase on the opposite side is just a spare wire for now, and the neutral wire serves as negative for both systems and is grounded by the pole with the fuses. I honestly have had no issues with the system and look forward to the possible expansion of it in the future.
