Fluorescing Strains

After Bill mentioned that all naturally purple glass should fluoresce, I took my black light over to the cabinet where I have a bunch of purple insulators to check them out. All had a sickly greenish tinge to them under the black light, but then I happened to see a couple of my radio strains on another shelf glowing bright green. Under normal light they are a very faint sage green or blue, but they fluoresce strongly. Wonder why.
