My father loves to collect glass embossing errors and has acumilated many over the years. I'm always amazed at his nack for finding them. In the porcelain world there is not a whole lot of mistakes to be found due to different marking methods. In my last collection I had a few Locke signal embossing errors which I gave to a fellow collector. Since selling that collection I was sitting back relizing I have a nice handful of oddities. This first piece is a U-486 McGraw Edison with a sand blast marking. I colored it in with marker to see it better. What's amazing is the whole thing is marked backwards. How did they manage that! |
