Here's a rare U-1991 porcelain inverted cone insulator with an unlisted Taylor Tunnicliffe dome marking from the UK. This incuse embossing is not shown in the books or NIA website for this U-number! Measures 3 1/2" wide x 6" tall. These were usually installed on the peak of the pole, with only 1 per pole, making them an easy target for kids throwing stones.

This one has the extended inner shed (porcelain skirt) which is undamaged. The lower skirt has been repaired and is missing a very small base piece. Wire rub marks around the wire groove, very tiny crown flake, small shoulder brown scuff mark which may wash off. Turn the insulator around and it displays excellent! These are rarely found or offered for sale.

First email gets this Rare Inverted Cone insulator dating back to the late 1800s with the unlisted embossing for only $185 shipped.
