I was checking some substation locations in Google Maps and came across this 'in progress' view of one cooperative's substation being replaced. Certainly goes to show how standards have evolved in favor of better safety clearances! The double-pole structure in front of the old substation is a primary metering point, the line continuing to the right belongs to a different utility.
