I found this nice cable top in a juncque shop recently. It is a CD 252 EIN [102] (F-Skirt) HEMINGRAY – 62/0-4: (R-Skirt) MADE IN U.S.A./4 {A square top brass bushing molded into the pinhole} SB, though the bushing looks more copper than brass. The damage on this one is minimal, with a small, shallow flake below the numbers in front, a fleabite on the left ear, and another on the base resting edge. I tried to find another photo of this CD/EIN in the Picture Poster Gallery, and while I could find several CD 252 Hemis in Ice Blue without the bushing, this appears to be the only photo on this site of one with a bushing. My question is the color. In hand, it's lighter than three of the photos. The close-up base shot is nearest to the actual color. (At first, I thought it was crystal clear.) The Price Guide lists but one color for this EIN: Ice Blue. I don't believe this one is Ice Blue. In hand, it's lighter than Ice, and not Blue; more like Aqua Tint. Others' opinions welcome. |
