Came across this while nosing around in Google Maps. It seems that there were some Chance cutouts that became infamous in the utility industry for falling apart like so. I understand that one state actually banned that brand of cutouts after a particularly bad fire caused by a failed Chance cutout. I went past this town a few weeks ago and as expected, there was a fresh arm and a polymer cutout in place.
