Nicknamed the 'ASTURIES" in the catalog of "Trevert E'ts- Davaye", this porcelain no-tie insulator was made circa 1900 as it shows the transition threads which were made to secure the pin with cement inside the pinhole. This insulator was specifically made for the Spanish market (hence the nickname) but made in Paris, France!

Notice the squared shoulders in this profile- something that is rarely seen by other countries porcelain insulators but I have found this trait is at least 3 early turn of the century (circa 1900) French porcelain insulator catalogs!

An interesting note is that Ohio Brass made a porcelain no-tie insulator with wider skirt (and squared shoulders!) but was made for export to Cuba around the same time frame.
