Here's the Canadian version of the famed Hemingray D-990. It's odd that there's no glass version of this style that is known to have been made in Canada, but this oddball porcelain style obviously filled the market for this style in Canada. These saw some distribution across Ontario and other parts of Canada, but I've never heard of a Hemingray D-990 being found anywhere in Canada. This example is a typical 1920s Canadian Porcelain glaze, with a caramel brown base colour and some darker brown to black mottling and glaze running as shown. This example is in VNM condition with no visible damage that I can see. I'm now asking $12 USD plus shipping for this piece. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, [id=505519866; please click here to see it]. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
