A Pennsylvania collector and professional salvager told me the reason why you see so few with the tie wire and conductor is because salvage workers were directed to smash with a hammer only the glass cable top insulators that were tied to the copper cable. Once smashed the copper conductor could be lifted off the remaining insulators and recycled. Looking for Cals that will fit my collecting interests. See want list [id=591894973]
