Its with a heavy heart that I let you all know of the passing of longtime Colorado collector Ray Curiel on September 7th 2023. Ray was a connoisseur of fine Hemingray colored glass and had amassed an amazing collection of scare and colorful pieces that were tastefully displayed in his insulator room. His backyard get-together held at his beautiful home in Castlerock, Colorado was the first Id ever attended after entering the hobby almost twenty years ago. Though he had never met me before, he invited me into his home and insulator room and spent about an hour answering any and all of the newbie collector questions I had for him. I felt honored when he contacted me several years later when he decided to downsize his collection. I still have every piece that he helped me add to my collection. Ive had the pleasure of meeting many wonderful people in this hobby over the years and Ray was certainly one of the best. His wife Cindy asked that I pass the following on to all Rays buddies.

The obituary and a slideshow full of memories will be posted on the website for Griffin Leggett FH in Conway, AR later today (the slideshow may not be available until tomorrow.) As a very special request, it would be much appreciated if as many of Ray, s old friends could go onto that website, and sign the guest book, share a memory, or tell a joke.

Rest in peace my friend, Dan
