I've always liked this Canadian Ohio Brass cable style, U-2571. They come in some great mottled glazes in various browns and blues. This example is about as dark as they come in the mottled blues, and many examples are unmarked as well. This marked example in a nice blue is probably about the best example of one of these you could find. As usual, this one has four "teats" on the ears, one at each corner of either ear. The glaze has pooled a bit around the edges of the ears and the wire groove, as well as within the marking. This one is in good shape but it does have one tiny 2 mm flake on the underside of one ear. I'm asking $23 USD plus shipping for this one. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I have a long-standing want list of Canadian-made porcelain posted, please click here to see it. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
