The Clark Clamp was an invention to clamp line conductor to an insulator without need of tie wires. Ive seen a few examples of them out exploring and know a handful of lines that used them. Here is a 1920s bus insulator with a brass and copper clamp that was tossed in a river beside a hydroelectric plant and washed downstream to a rocky flat.
