Here's a tough U-1940 dryspot porcelain insulator from the UK (far right in the photo). Has the black composition lid (not plastic). Incuse marked LNER which is unlisted on the NIA website and the books and also has the Bullers logo! This insulator was made for the London and North Eastern Railway, which operated between 1923 and 1948. Has small sliver flake and a tiny flake only visible when cap is removed. Comes with original wire used from service seen under the cap and inside the pinhole. Notice how much beefier this one is than the more commonly seen skirts on the other dryspots. First email gets this hard to find dryspot insulator for the reduced price of only $70 plus 11 shipping. Thanks! |
