It's been quite a long time since I've seen open wire phone circuits that looked to still be in service. Coming into Shoshone, CA, I spotted two pair that looked to be in good repair running on a pole line along the old Tonopah & Tidewater RR grade with a phone cable. Sure, they're just Armstrong or Kerr 129s, but in this day and age, any glass on comm lines is a rarity!
