Here's a great trio of the much-loved Canadian telegraph 'hives. You really can't beat the thick watery glass on these things. Included in this group are, from left to right: 1.) A light aqua H.B.R. with a faint G.T.P. blotout. Two flat flakes on the right side of the base, one 10 mm and the other 6 mm wide. 2.) An awesome light steel grey G.N.W.TEL.CO. example with T.P. blotted out behind "N.W." This one has a lot of great character with super watery glass, lots of straw marks, and a severely underpoured inner skirt. I found this one along the former Canada Southern Railway near Dutton, ON in maybe 2005 or so. Today it can go on to join someone else's collection. 3.) A deep blue grey G.T.P.TEL.CO. example with "N.W." blotted out behind "T.P.". This really is a great colour, with almost a hint of purple to the deep blue-grey glass. This one has a 4 mm fleabite on the front lower wire ridge but is otherwise in great shape. I'm asking $50 USD plus shipping for the group of 3. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. I'm also happy to deliver to the Perth, Ontario show this weekend as I will be in attendance. I hope to see everyone there! |
