Now only $500">

Here's a rare U-1991 porcelain inverted cone insulator with an unlisted Taylor Tunnicliffe dome marking from the UK. This incuse embossing is not shown in the books or NIA website for this U-number! Measures 3 1/2" wide x 4 3/4" tall. These were usually installed on the peak of the pole, with only 1 per pole, making them an easy target for kids throwing stones.

It is missing the extended inner shed which broke off internally but displays excellent. It comes with the original pin and original tie wire- something I've never seen on one of these before. There is a small dome scuff mark which is brown which may wash off, a very tiny skirt ridge flake and a 1/3 pinky nail flake on another ridge. I'd call the exterior VNM. These are rarely found or offered for sale.

First email gets this Rare Inverted Cone insulator dating back to the late 1800s with the unlisted embossing for the slashed price of only $500 plus shipping. I will also accept 14 U.S. (1964 or earlier) Silver Dollars as payment in full. Thanks!
