Someone sent me a few pictures they had. One was a CD 142 (on the left) and another photo had an insulator that I "photoshopped" next to the CD 142 for comparison. The sticker reads Indiana Glass Company / RR 2 Box 171 / Dunkirk, IN 47336 LUCITE MODEL FOR FOCUS GROUP TESTING ONLY CF (?) 1703 - 2 / 1702 - 2 Lucite is a type of plastic. But what is Indiana Glass Company doing with a plastic model of an insulator very similar to the CD 142 Hemingray? The date codes on the Hemingray's that we have are all 0_4. indicating the mold was made in 1934 and the insulator in 1935. Just seems very odd ... and "for focus group testing only?" I'd be interested in any ideas. Thanks |
