Thanks to Brent B., he informs me that the Milwaukee Road abandoned all of its lines west of Miles City, MT after 1980. So, this is among the remnants of one of the openwire lines that ran alongside that route. It is an example of a pole vandalized and pretty well shot up after abandonment, Brent adds.
