John Dunbar 1970 - 2022. Another collector gone far too soon. John collected insulators and many other antiques from a very young age. He owned and ran his own antique store and later became part owner of a multi vendor antique market. He was a fountain of knowledge on antiques in general but especially insulators, bottles, lightning rods, railroadiania, militaria, telephones, radios and ephemera. He was a mentor to me in my early years as a collector and over the years we bought, sold and traded many insulators, bottles and other antiques. A very smart guy with a knack for finding the best of the best he enjoyed nothing more than the hunt to find that elusive piece. He attended National shows in the late 1980's and the early 1990's and had a display at the 1989 Allentown National Show. Rest in peace my friend.
