I first met Glenn at the Rohde Ranch Show several years ago. A quiet man, but always opened up when starting to talk McLaughlins or California glass. George Klingler & I drove down from Tahoe when Wendy & I out vacationing a few years back to see his collection. It gave me the chance to see the real Glenn for the first time. He's led quite an interesting life, full of hot cars, love of bird hunting & amassing an incredible collection of glass insulators. I'm sure the only reason he invited me into his home was because he & the Klingler's had become trusted friends over the years. I feel fortunate to have been able to spend part of a day with him and learn more about the person he was. We wanted to go down for another visit this past August, but George is still recovering from recent surgery and couldn't make the trip. We'll miss him at next year's Tahoe Show.
