This pair of unique dry spots will make for a great display (with your own mounting hardware). This piece originated in in the mountain town of Góry Sowie. The railroad was built between 1908-1910 and, from the little information available in English, was an engineering feat at the time. The manufacturer is unknown but the insulating properties of these are questionable. The insulators are cast/wrought iron with a resin in between the skirts; there is no porcelain insert. The wire is wrapped around the projection on the base and travels up through the insulator. The top of the dry spot has a threaded cap which can be unscrewed and wire going into the building can then be attached. I am asking $1300, which includes shipping and insurance to the continental US. Foreign shipping available at cost. PayPal friends/family preferred or check from those I've dealt with in the past. Partial trades for insulators or bottles considered. |
