Here's a great, colourful pair of Canadian Porcelain-made U-2421s. These examples are both unmarked, and is part of an era dating to the 1940s-1950s when CP made a wide variety of glaze colours but rarely marked any. At left is a vivid "robins egg blue" shade with only a tiny 1/8" by 1/4" flake on the outer base edge in one spot. I'm asking $55 USD plus shipping for this example. At right is a sort of "powder blue" shade with a softer purple tint. This one is more mottled and has some great lighter glaze spots, base drips, and runny lines. Unfortunately it does have a 3/4" tall by 5/8" wide inner skirt flake on one side, and a 1/4" outer base edge flake on the opposite side. It's still a great, colourful piece despite the damage. Take it for $10, or for free if you buy the Robins egg example. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
