Here's a pair you won't see every day. At left is a very scarce U-2421 in a white glaze with black ink stamp. This piece came from a Quebec picker, though most of these that I'm aware of in existence have come from Nova Scotia. At right is a more common but still not often seen U-2239 with the same colour scheme. This one saw local use here in the London area, where some low voltage distribution lines used them. Personally I find these "black and white" CP units to be pretty sharp looking.

The U-2421 cable 1 1/2" by 1" slice off the outer edge of the inner skirt on one side. It displays mint from the opposite side, and the slice appears strangely invisible due to its position between the skirts and the fact that the unglazed porcelain interior on the piece is almost identical in colour to the glaze. It took me a long time to find a single example of this colour/marking combination!

The U-2239 signal is mint from what I can see, but let's just say VNM.

I'm now asking $60 USD plus shipping for the pair. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items.
