Chicago Vicinity, 1946. Lattice Electric Transmission Towers Crossing over RR Tracks.

There are two three-phase circuits along this stretch. The uppermost two pins probably supported static or ground wires with either small clear glass insulators or the cables were secured directly to the pins. I would like to think that these two pins had Pyrex-701, CD 331 clear insulators atop them, but from carefully studying this image it appears these are plain pins.
