Recently discovered at a yard sale here in S.W. Ontario, these Danish pieces don't really fit here in my collection. I'll likely never know how they made the trip all the way to Canada. The pair of pieces in the back appear to be examples of U-1692. Both are cemented onto their original brackets which appear to be forged iron. Neither example has any markings that I can see, and they appear to be very early with relatively crude, pock marked and uneven glazes. Both appear to be mint. At front is an example of U-1804, with a green ink stamp depicting an N inside a sort of elongated hexagon and what appears to be a date of 1931. It also has the letter K and the number 59 incused on the top of the ears. It has a stout machined threaded crossarm bolt cemented into the pinhole. The only damage I can see on this one is a 1/4" flake on the outer edge of one of the ears. I'm asking $45 USD plus shipping for the three. I'm always happy to trade for early Canadian glass or Canadian-made porcelain insulators. I accept PayPal, or personal cheque from any member of ICON or any collector with whom I have dealt before. Please feel free to contact me with any questions or for more photos, and look through my other items or unsold sales stock to combine shipping on items. |
