The scars of two aircraft show on the flat nature of today's overcast, left as two 737s descended from the overcast, briefly along the base, and into the clear. These were in the wake of arriving Southwest 4023 from Orlando, FL to Saint Louis, MO on the left, and Southwest 2502 from Tampa, FL to Saint Louis, MO. These scars in the wake last a few minutes before dampening out. Both flights left Florida in sunshine and low 70 degree temps about two hours prior, arriving here in rain and upper 40s. I wonder how many folks wanted to turn around and go back!
