Fire alarm circuits were strung along the lower two-pin crossarms on these poles. The street light fixtures were made by GE during the 1940s and utilized 1,000 lumen street series incandescent lightbulbs. Although the lights and fire alarm wires are gone now, some of this old 4kv line construction can be seen around the Plymouth, MA vicinity.
