This example was found along with another in a ditch during 1991 when a New England Power Service crew was doing a pole changeover along the route of a c.1915 transmission line that served the town of Hull, MA. This line was upgraded with new poles, wire and insulators by 1940 (a fair amount of the latter still remain in service serving the municipal utility). Nothing that was removed survived except for the two forementioned insulators.
