The train assembled, this long westbound movement heads out past the Alamosa yard limits sign for Antonito behind a pair of K-36 Mikados on a sub-zero December morning in 1961. Note the frozen wires on the far left. This was the telephone main, heading for Santa Fe. It was from this line that I saw my very first CD 124.3 ... a teal beauty that still ranks as one of the best I have ever seen!
