All of the street light fixtures you see here are from the 1950s and earlier. Like openwire pole lines across North America, these fixtures are very rarely seen anywhere anymore. I have been building pole lines since about age 5. I started by using shade rollers as wooden poles and popsicle sticks for crossarms. Along with my mother's thread simulating open wire. That was a real long time ago! But one thing has not changed...and that is I have deeply enjoyed building personally designed openwire lines and poles in the backyards wherever I lived as a kid. In many respects, what I have done in recent years has become a tribute to pole-line Americana that is just about gone forever....
