This is looking east on CSX's Illinois Subdivision where it crosses BNSF's Beardstown Subdivision. CSX mothballed much of the Illinois Subdivision in August of 2015 after shifting traffic to the generally parallel Saint Louis Line Subdivision, a former Conrail route. [id=273264365] to see this location on 3/14/2010. At that time, CSX only scheduled two eastbounds and one westbound per day. Traffic was already dwindling, down from about 8-10 each way each day in the 1990s.
