It wasn't mint. None of them were, unfortunately. I believe the freeze/thaw cycle wasn't kind to these insulators on account of the cast iron inserts in them and/or them being cemented onto metal pins. This one had a crack in the upper shell that went around the wire groove a bit. It still displays very nice and is a welcome addition to my collection.
