Have any other collectors come across this? I have a couple of Lynchburg insulators that have the same kind of material in their pinholes. I'm thinking it might be a remnant from when the insulators were packed by the factory in hay filled barrels. Perhaps some of it got stuck up there and never deteriorated. That is just a wild guess. There could very well be some kind of other explanation.
